Skinny Coffee Trial Day 4: Level Up Workout

Same routine. Stretch and exercise, then a cup of Skinny Coffee.

It tried wall pushups and squats, 3 sets per workout. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do crunches because I want to avoid too much exhaustion because I have an office work.

So for today, 3 sets of wall pushups, squats, and 15 minutes of waist trimmer plate exercise. I feel some minor pain on my arms and tummy, maybe because I stopped working out after I gave birth (I am not sure).

For tomorrow, I will try 3 sets of pelvic lifts. On weekends, I’ll add 3 sets of lunges and mountain climber exercise. By the way, I got this idea after I watch the video below. As mentioned earlier, I stopped working out after I gave birth, and I don’t want to push myself to do such hardcore exercise as it may lead to much exhaustion, and I don’t want that to happen because I have a work in Ortigas. Aside from that, I don’t want to discourage myself by forcing to do all the workouts that I’ve done when I am a single.

The effect of Skinny Coffee is good so far. My coffee intake (non-Skinny Coffee) lessen because I am not craving for more. A black coffee is enough.

There are times that I am craving for more although I feel full. However, so far, I can still manage to control my cravings.

Tomorrow I will give more updates and the full review.

(Disclaimer: I am not a fitness expert. I am just an ordinary employee who want to lose weight in healthy way.)

Skinny Coffee Day 3: Let’s Twist Again

So this is the third day.

I woke up at 4:00 a.m. I stretched and exercised before I drunk a cup of coffee.

By the way,  I used waist trimmer plate (I am not sure if that’s the right term because if you ask someone at Tobys or other sports store,  they will give you different names of this device).  For 15 minutes,  I twist my body with the help of this tool.

For just 15 minutes,  I sweated a lot. I tried crunches exercise, and I struggled a lot. Unlike before, I can make 3 sets of this exercise, but this morning, I felt the struggle in the first set. This means, I really need to lose my weight.  I did not eat breakfast again because I feel full.

I left our house at 6:10 a. m., then I arrived in the bus station at 6:20 a.m. There’s a manong selling ham and cheese bread.  I bought one piece since I am a bit hungry. The bread is delicious.  But, I did not crave for more.

Skinny Coffee: Day 1 and 2

On Monday,  Oct.  3, I started taking one sachet of Skinny Coffee.  I haven’t seen any changes yet because I just started.

On day 2, Tuesday,  Oct.  4, I woke up early (4:00 a.m) to stretch and exercise.  After 30 mins.  of exercising,  I drunk a cup of Skinny Coffee. I did not eat anything as I am not hungry, surprisingly.

By the way, the taste of the coffee is good with a bit of herb.  I’m a not an expert when it comes to herbs,  but this is not the first time to try a coffee with herbs.

I got 5 sachets for 200 pesos.  After five days,  I will let you know if I will continue taking this coffee.  So far, everything is good and I feel so energize. What I notice today is I don’t feel hungry at all.  Small portion of food is enough.

My Totoro Mug

On Saturday, August 27, I bought a big, fat, gray mug at SM Fairview. I love the mug and its color, but it’s too plain. So I decided to let my colleague, Maia, to draw the face of Totoro on my mug. Maia used a permanent pentel pen to draw the face of this cute doodle.

Here’s the result.

Gloomy Monday

gloomy weather

I failed to update this blog once a week. I’ve been so busy since the day I started working as Social Media Copywriter in the new company  (my new office is located in Ortigas by the way).

So far, I have enjoyed every moment, and I already adapted the office culture. I can’t say my job is easy because we have deadlines and I need a lot of patience with some online users, but overall, it is manageable. We have a cool manager and I can talk to her anytime.

Today, I feel under weather because of flu and cough. I am not totally cured and I feel sleepy maybe because of the medicines I took this morning.

I drunk 2 cups of coffee but I found these were not enough to keep me awake. So how’s my Monday? Let’s say it is gloomy and I feel don’t like going to work. However, the reality wakes me up and give me motivation to work.

Overall, I have no reason to be lazy because I’ve been given a chance to have a stable job and prove my worth. I don’t want to lose this opportunity anymore. So even I feel sick, I am still motivated to go to work because I am one of the lucky people who have a job.

Back to Ortigas!

New year, new work, new world… It’s been six years since I left Ortigas and transferred to Makati. I worked  at 88DB which was originally located at Taipan Building,  Emerald Avenue. On Monday, I will be back again in Ortigas as I will start working at Bluewave, located at Philippine Stock Exchange building.

I am excited but at the same time, I feel nervous because I do not know if my new colleagues will like me, and it is also a new environment for me; meaning, another adjustment and some minor changes that may come along my way.

I prepared some requirements that I need before I finally come aboard. However, I have not yet undergone medical examination because I have a monthly period. If I undergo urinalysis test, the result may show I have bacteria or I have infection of that period. So I will be back  at the clinic next week for the urinalysis test.

I hope I will stay longer and continue my career growth to the new company! AJA

New Year 2014

Wow! The year passed by so quickly. And as 2013 comes to a close, some of us will exercise our right of self-delusion by creating our traditional New Year’s Resolution; Traditional being, that we just brought back the same resolutions as last year’s. Let’s face it… Everything looks good and easy on paper, otherwise we don’t have to create a new but same list every year. Also there is a point where we are all redered with the obligation of reviewing the year that was spent. This makes a lot more sense to me.

Most often, one would count their blessings, while for others it will be a time to reflect on how they have affected other lives. But one thing is for certain, everything just becomes a memory.

I’ve mentioned it earlier that its an obligation to review the year and how it has been spent, and it is wise to do so. Speaking for myself, there are a lot of things, events and people that I’m grateful for. Whether good or bad, Everything that has happened, happened. So let me just indulge in this moment and recall what has gone down, so far.

This year marked the point in my life where I became both a husband and a father; an experience that has both been a challenge and a welcomed eye-opener for me. Also, managed to gain a much better foothold in my career and what I want to do with the rest of my life. Responsibility is no longer… excuse me for the term… a bitch. It has become a bestfriend and an ally in my everyday life. Through it I’ve learned to love others and myself even better. I’ve gained the advantage of demanding more of myself, and appreciative of the care shown to me by others.

Now, 2013 – let me take this time to thank you. Amidst the tragedies and attrocities that struck our country, you have taught us the value of compassion, and through it, somehow restored my faith in humanity. Thank you for strengthing the bond that our family has, and thank you for mere acquiantances that I now have the honor of calling friends. Thank you for a much stabler me in all aspects. And most of all… Thank you for my loving wife, Sarah, and my ever so cute daughter, Sky. They are my pride and joy, and this year gave me a chance to start memories with them.

Now, as for my message to 2014 – We’ve just waved goodbye to 2013 with our heads still held high… You better play nice!

Happy New Year, everyone! 🙂
