My employment at my current company ends today. Actually, I have been informed since last month, and I have been told that there’s no need to report to the office. I am not sure if it is legal to layoff an employee while on maternity leave. Regardless, I accepted the decision of the company.
It is a bit sad because I have not said goodbye to my teammates. But I am happy that they have found a new job. I am wishing them good luck I will surely miss my old team. I worked with them for three years and all of them were awesome.
Despite the sad part of this chapter, I am optimistic about the new opportunity. On May 20, I am expected to work at the new company. Yes, it is located in Ortigas that’s why I am writing Hopefully, I will stay here longer. I am expecting that I will reach the point of burnout, but I think I can find a way to solve it.
